Blood
We left here this morning at 7.00 am to go to Alicante Hospital for me to have a specialised blood test. I started to take my cardigan off so she could get the blood out of my arm. In her Spanish she told me not to take it off and proceeded to disinfect one of my fingers - then OUCH a prick. She then started to try and squeeze the blood out and let it drip onto the special document in the appropriate square box, but it wasn't that easy. Oh no - in the end she had to prick 3 of my fingers OUCH OUCH OUCH and the original one again - squeeze squeeze squeeze and eventually she managed to get enough blood to fill 4 of the boxes on this document!! I would much prefer the usual way of getting the blood out of me. Anyway I didn't have to wait any length of time - was called straight in and we were home by 9.30 am. We think that was brilliant don't you - all the way to Alicante, getting the job done and getting home in two and a half hours?
You want to try here it's packed lunches folding beds and sleeping bags for the wait LOL !!!!
Naughty Naughty Don - I needed a bit of sympathy. It really wasn't very nice. See you soon - behave yourself xx
Oh Eddie - you do exaggerate. Still you're retired now so you have time to spare he he. I expect we will see you soon when you are over at Christmas lol xx
what did Tony Handcock say, "Almost an armful". I agree with you Carol, Get the needle in my very exposed vein and take what you want. However my poor old hubby has deep veins and always has a dizzy turn and has to lie down, bless him
Typical man Mazza. My son went to have injections for going to some way out country - ended up passing out and falling on to the fire place and banging his head in the surgery. Hence ending up in the hospital overnight. He never did get to where he intended going !! That's men for you - good job they don't have to give birth.....................................................
oh carol, 3 PRICKS IN ONE HAND.wait til i tell IAN,sorry i could;nt resist that one
